Join Runs on Plants RD registered dietitian, Karen Smith, for a fun, interactive, and unique nutrition education and cooking class series designed to help you on your journey to better health. This Food for Life program was created by dietitians, nurses, and physicians at the Physicians Committee for type 2 diabetes prevention and treatment. Type 2 diabetes is a preventable disease and often can be reversed with lifestyle changes, including the adoption of a plant-based diet. Discover which foods are optimal for preventing and reversing diabetes, learn about reading food labels and navigating the grocery store, and be empowered with the practical cooking skills needed to improve your diet and health. Enjoy cooking demonstrations and taste delicious, healthy dishes in a supportive group setting.
